Need to know before you go
Maximum 4 people per group.
Basic swimming ability is required.
Depending on sea/tide/weather conditions, the first training session may be organized in a “normal” swimming pool.
In case of strong wind or bad and unsafe conditions, we will contact you the day before the tour to reschedule the activity for a better day.
Some swimming ability is required. You need to have basic swimming skills and be able to maintain yourself in the water comfortably.
Cancellation
Your booking will become valid after we receive your payment and send you a confirmation email.
You can cancel up to 72 hours in advance with 100% reimbursement. There is no reimbursement for later cancellations.
In case of cancellation from our side due to bad weather, we will reschedule your tour for another day or return your payment in full.
Group bookings of 4 or more persons are considered private bookings and cancellations or modifications require 7 days notice prior to departure time.

Known as the Atlantic Floating Garden, Madeira is the “Best Island Destination” according to the World Travel Awards. With an astonishing landscape bathed by the sparkling blue water of the Atlantic, the archipelago is a fantastic spot for scuba diving. Underwater visibility can reach up to 50 meters (160 ft), revealing its rich sea life to explorers.
A sense of freedom takes over your soul while scuba diving. A relaxed state of mind is achieved once you are submerged in the sea. You don’t care about anything else but for your breathing and the beautiful marine life around.
Scuba diving is fascinating, and this experience in Madeira is a fantastic activity you don’t want to miss.
Your professional instructor teaches you the basic scuba diving techniques and shows how to operate the diving equipment safely. The activity lasts four hours and is divided into three parts. First, you have a theory briefing. After that, you go for a dive in shallow water. It takes place in the stunning natural swimming pool of Quinta do Lorde. Once you feel safe enough and learn how to handle the equipment, you’re ready for the real deal! For the next 50 minutes, you explore the amazing underwater world of Madeira in a depth of up 12 meters (40 feet).
Our diving center is just a few steps away from the shore. It is a smooth and lovely dive spot, where you can see different species of sea animals. Octopuses, cuttlefish, barracudas, stingrays, eagle rays, and moray eels are waiting just for you. Encounters with monk seals are also getting more frequent.
You can book the full experience for one morning, or have the training lessons in the morning and the diving session in the afternoon or even on a different day. This is your chance to discover unknown worlds, make new friends, and enjoy a unique life experience.
