This is the ultimate volcano experience, offering the thrill of walking up, around, and into two spectacular young volcanoes. You will be able to see from close the moonscape of the most recent eruptions.
One of the most remarkable examples of explosive volcanic activity is Santa Catalina, the first volcano. We will make the short ascent to the summit for some breathtaking views of the Timanfaya National Park range. The Volcán del Cuervo, a stunning spatter cone, is the second crater. We will enter the crater's interior by strolling along a flat, easy path.
The tour guide, Olaya, is a volcanologist and will not only explain the geology and human history of the Timanfaya eruptions, but also offer you a delightful introduction to the world of volcanoes in general.
As the focus is more on the scientific than the physical effort, this trip should not be confused with a hike. There will be opportunities to use the restroom at the start and midpoint of the trip.

For later cancellations, there is no compensation. On rare occasions, the tour may need to be postponed due to bad weather. In these circumstances, we will offer you alternative dates or we will refund you 100% of the paid amount.

A great day out with the guide Carmen who is very knowledgeable about the birds and the environment and has eyes like an Eagle I would recommend this tour to any bird photographers out spotted loads Kestrel, Bustard, stone curlew, trumpeter finch, courser well worth it and next year there hoping to set up an Egyptian Vulture feeding station I can't wait for that

The trek is well worth it just for the view of the island of La Graciosa which is more or less at the end of the trek. A stunning view and what a location.

The trip was amazing with views to die for. It was hard work getting the top but well worth it. Our guide Martina was very knowledgeable and just added to a thoroughly enjoyable day.
