Why we love this tour
Take your first rock climbing steps in this Mediterranean island full of rock walls, cliffs, and gorgeous nature.
- Learn top-rope climbing
- Explore rugged nature
- Enjoy a background of lush nature
- Expert, friendly guide

Corsica is known for its scenic coastline, fantastic hiking trails, and smelly cheeses. You may not find cheese in this tour, but you can most definitely admire Corsica’s famous nature firsthand. Learn how to rock climb with an expert as you explore a beginner route.
The exact location depends on your level, your preferences, and the weather conditions, and the options are all equally gorgeous. You may climb right on the cliffs of the coast near the town L'ile Rousse for routes of views and sounds of crashing waves. Or you might go deep into the quiet forests near the secluded village of Suare for excellent routes up rock walls. Lastly, you might explore the lush trees and flowing Figarella River of the Bonifatu Forest of the Corsica Natural Park. This park covers 40% of the island and the Bonifatu Forest rises in elevation from 300 m to 1,950 m (985 ft to 6,400 ft).
No matter which location you visit, your professional climbing guide ensures you learn the essentials of top-rope climbing with a smile on your face.
From the meeting point, a shuttle takes you and your full set of equipment to the climbing route. Your guide explains the theories and tricks behind climbing, and then you face the rock! Enjoy the feeling of rising higher and higher as you test your physical ability. Learn the best way to grip into the rock, how to manage your rope, and how to belay safely down to the ground. After 2-3 hours of climbing fun, you head back to the meeting point.
Rock climbing brings many rewards, like incredible views, fresh mountain air, and the proud feeling of accomplishment. But in Corsica, your reward can also be smelly cheese.

We are beginner rock climbers and booked with Samuel for an afternoon of climbing. He was great! He called us ahead of time and discussed our skills and interests, and picked the perfect spot for us. He set up a series of climbs where we could warm up and he could get a sense of what we would enjoy climbing. He communicated with us throughout and sought our input, tailoring the afternoon to us. It was perfect. He was a delight to be around and chat with, very knowledge, and we felt very safe. He brought the equipment we didn't have, which was great, since we were traveling. Can't say enough good about the afternoon with Samuel.

This was a great introduction to sports climbing in Corsica. Sam our guide did a good job of looking after a mixed bunch of climbers with different skill levels. A great day was had by all. Cheers Richard
