Itinerary:
(Day 1) Depending on your location in Kampala, a company representative/driver will pick you up and bring you to Kibale National Park, one of Africa's greatest safari places for chimpanzee tracking. Arrive in the park in the afternoon for lunch in Fort Portal, then have a 2-3 hour nature walk through the Bigodi Wetland before heading to your Kibale lodge.
(Day 2) With your packed food and water, you will go chimp trekking after breakfast. Meet your guide at the headquarters, then enter the rainforest to begin your quest for chimps. It will take 2-5 hours to locate the chimps. You will spend an hour with the chimps while taking photographs after visiting them. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park in the late afternoon and unwind at the Lodge.
(Day 3) Meet your guide for a game drive early in the morning and see a variety of animals, including elephants, hippos, lions, leopards, buffaloes, and all types of antelopes. Return to the lodge for a meal. After lunch at the lodge, take a boat ride down the Kazinga channel for another wildlife/bird-watching opportunity while cruising on Lake Edward/George. Dinner and an overnight stay at the lodge are included in the price.
(Day 4) After a hearty breakfast, board the car and go to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in Uganda for gorilla tracking. You will arrive in the afternoon and have the opportunity to engage in Batwa pygmy dances and culture. Later, unwind at your lodge and ready for an unforgettable trekking adventure.
(Day 5) You'll enjoy an early morning breakfast before heading to the Park headquarters at 7:45 a.m. for a training on gorilla trekking rules with other trackers. To discover the gorillas, you'll have to hike through thickets and vegetation with your guides, which can take anything from 1 to 8 hours. The densely forested area is crisscrossed by numerous animal pathways that provide access to tourists. Once the gorillas have been located, you will have one hour to spend with them before being transferred to Lake Bunyonyi. The journey will take you through a picturesque part of the country known as 'the Switzerland of Africa' due to its peculiar cold climate despite its proximity to the Equator. This lake is believed to be one of western Uganda's most beautiful spots. It is Africa's second deepest lake [900 meters] and one of the few spots in the country where swimming is deemed safe due to the absence of bilharzias. Dinner and stay will be at the lodge where you made your reservation.
(Day 6) After an early breakfast, transfer to lake Mburo National Park arriving their in lunch hour or late, register and proceed to the Boat cruise in Lake Mburo, the boat will take approximately 2 hours, return to Lodge and relax.
(Day 7) The park is open to any visitors who want to go on guided nature walking safaris, which are normally led by an armed park ranger guide. The guided walks take you to the salt lick, which is thought to be one of the greatest areas to see a variety of species. Wildlife/animals march across the salt licks to savor the taste of the salty licks comprised of water and dirt. Another nature walk begins at 7:00 a.m. and lasts for two hours. It takes place in the western part of Lake Mburo and guarantees you encounters with hippos emerging from the water, hyenas returning to their dens, giraffes, and millions of zebras. After this exciting activity, you will return to the lodge for lunch. Later on a transfer back to Entebbe or Kampala awaits for you and that's where our beautiful safari ends.
