- Taste a delicious traditional Swedish Midsummer Meal

Nature is never far away in Stockholm, as it is in the rest of Sweden. Extensive green forests and plenty of farming and agricultural land lie just beyond the municipal limits, home to a diverse range of wildlife. Moose, Deer, Foxes, Hares, and Wild Boar are all free to wander here. Our Wildlife Safari takes place around sunset, which is the best time to look for wildlife, especially the "Kings of the Forest" (Moose), which typically roam at sundown to graze and look for water.
Before traveling out of the city and into one of Stockholm's most wildlife-rich locations, your guide will greet you onboard our small and comfortable minivan. Get to know your safari buddies and have a traditional Swedish Midsummer Meal at an outdoor camp while you're out in nature and before you start the safari properly. Your knowledgeable guide will take this opportunity to tell you more about the habitat and the species that live there. Then, in quest of animals, you'll navigate through rural landscapes marked by traditional red cottages, elegant manor homes, spectacular woodlands, and historical rune stones from the Viking era. We go by van to cover more ground and maximize your chances of seeing wildlife; we typically encounter at least three of the five animals named, if not all five! You will return to the city once the sun has fallen.
The Midsummer Meal
Three different herrings, freshly cooked potatoes, meatballs, sausages, boiled eggs with Kalles Kaviar, and hard crispy bread with Västerbotten Cheese will make up our traditional Swedish Midsummer Meal. For dessert, we'll have fresh berries, as well as Lingonberry and Elderflower soft drinks.
