During these 3 days, you’ll experience a relaxed canoeing trip with many mini-adventures such as fishing, building and lighting an open fire.

The first morning, we'll be busy with packing our belongings and food into dry bags before loading everything into the canoes. We'll paddle gently beside the lake's edge after it's completely packed. Canoes are not designed to go fast, but they are incredibly sturdy and comfortable, making this a child-friendly activity.

We'll halt and unpack our canoes after a couple hours of paddling on blue-green water. At a nice wilderness location, we'll set our tents and start a fire together. There are no people in the neighborhood, so you won't be disturbed. We'll go on a beaver safari or go fishing just when the forest is lighted by the setting sun. From the shore, pike and perch are rather easy to catch.

After a good night's sleep in tents we'll start the second day with a delicious outdoor breakfast including wild blueberries that we previously collected in the undergrowth. A dip in the river will be embraced by the brave ones.

We'll have extra time for side experiences like ascending an easy trail to a lookout tower from where you can gaze out over the limitless forest, or exploring more lakes by canoe. Unfortunately, on the third day, it is time to return to the town with our lungs and minds full of fresh air.

We were so happy with our hike. Ben, our guide, made it really special for us. He's very knowledgeable, he knew wild fruits and plants, mushrooms, and was as excited as we were with the hike! We hike on and off-trail, picked lots of berries on the way, went to a couple of lakes, had lunch around a campfire and had an amazing time. I recommend this to anyone keen on experiencing nature in Sweden.
