Finland is one of the best regions in the world to go wild food foraging. The woodland abounds with new greenery as spring gives way to summer, and the perfume of fresh berries fills the air. You will love this intimate experience in Finland's woods, whether you are here to experience the Finnish culture of berry picking or simply to sample these natural and organic berries.
We will explore the tranquil mossy woodlands of Liesjärvi National Park on this guided excursion departing from Helsinki. We may fill our baskets with Finnish superfoods such as blueberries, lingonberries, and, with luck, some sweet wild strawberries, while searching for berries. These superfoods are high in vitamins and nutrients, yet they're sweeter than any store-bought fruit!
Your guide will take you to a lakeside campsite for a Finnish-style lunch cooked over an open fire after you've visited a few of the good picking spots. You will have free time to explore the area, take photos, talk with your guide, or find your own tranquil spot to appreciate the forest while lunch is being served. After lunch we will continue to explore the natural beauty of Liesjärvi while making our way back to the starting point. The day will be complete with your stomach full of berries and you will be fully charged from this wonderful nature experience.
On this day trip we spend approximately 4.5 hours within the national park. With transportation the total length of this nature tour is 7 hours.
