After being picked up and provided with warm clothing (which is essential because it can be very cold), your guide will drive you to a beautiful husky farm 30 minutes outside of Rovaniemi. You'll be able to experience the lovely snowy forests and surrounding surroundings as soon as you leave the city.

The mushers and their wonderful dogs will greet you at the farm with enthusiastic barking. You'll meet your dog team and receive safety lessons as well as pointers on how to drive the sleigh. Once you're ready, you'll set out on a 10-kilometer sleigh ride across the winter landscape (about 1 hour/1 hour 15 minutes depending on snow conditions). The sleigh ride is always limited to two adults (one driving and one sitting in the sleigh), with the option to exchange the driver and passenger halfway through.

The mushers will take time to share their way of life, explain what a musher's profession entails, how they train their dogs, and answer any questions you may have over an open fire. All of the huskies are extremely cute, so don't forget to bring your camera!

In all our excursions, our groups are limited to 8 people maximum. It it very important for us to provide you with the best experience as possible, and avoid mass tourism. This way, your guide will know you better and will be able to address all your needs and answer your questions. Our partners are also selected based on ethical and responsible principles, to promote a more authentic and respectful tourism in Lapland.
