Why we love this tour
You'll enjoy the untouched Arctic nature around you while feeding wonderful, fluffy creatures - reindeer!
- Beautiful landscapes
- Sámi local dish and beverages
- Connection with nature and reindeer
- Learning about Sámi culture

Participate in the daily feeding of our herd of 300 reindeer!
We will meet you outside the Radisson Blu in Tromsø, look for a guide wearing a blue Luhkka (poncho), and then we will undergo a 45-minute bus ride to Breivikeidet. Mountains, fjords, and unspoiled nature will greet you on the route before you get to the destination!
Your Sami guide will greet you when you arrive and lead you through the reindeer fence for the feeding. While marveling at the Lyngen Alps in the background, you'll learn more about the fascinating animals and enjoy our tiny slice of Arctic beauty.
When the reindeer are satisfied and content, it's your turn to eat. You'll go into the Gamme for a hot beverage and some delicious Bidos, a typical Sami delicacy. Your guide will tell you more about living in the Arctic, Sami history and culture, and show you a collection of Sami artifacts and clothes after you enter the Gamme.
Since its establishment in 2009, the firm Tromsø Lapland has been run by authentic Saami people with extensive reindeer herding traditions and has the most experience in offering authentic Saami experience and cultural excursions in Tromsø.
