If you want to see beautiful natural landmakrs and observe the fascinating Eurasian brown bears, you will love this tour!
Firstly, your guide will pick you up from your Brasov accommodation in the morning. After an 80-kilometer drive, you'll arrive at the lake St. Anna parking lot. Depending on the season, you can visit the Mohos peat bog (open only from spring to mid-autumn) to witness some unusual species of hallucinogenic and carnivorous plants, as well as fascinating scenery.
A 15-minute stroll from the parking lot leads to the lake. St. Anna Lake is Romania's unique volcanic crater lake, formed between 8.800 and 9.800 years ago. A 30-minute pleasant walk around the 220,000 m area will reveal its grandeur. After a short vehicle ride, you'll go on a 30-minute climb up to Puturosu Cave (The Smelly Cave), Europe's largest natural gas bath.
Back in the car, you can enjoy the beautiful view and then eat lunch at a nearby restaurant (lunch not included). Keep in mind that the timetable may be altered during the colder months due to shorter days. The tour's high point will be an afternoon trek deep into the forest with an expert ranger to observe Eurasian brown bears in their native habitat in the wild. Once you've reached the secure bear hide, have a sip of palinka (a traditional Hungarian spirit) and wait for the bears to appear only a few meters from you. Because the bear hide is custom-built, the bears are unable to see you through the windows, allowing you to snap incredible photographs of them.
Finally, just as dusk falls, you will return to your automobile, where your guide will bring you back to Brasov and drop you off at your lodging.

This was a quite pleasing experience although it could be better and easier. the office of Neotours is not at the address given but around the corner in a completely different street. Visitors who need to contact Neotours personally will find this worrying. The bear watch itself was good. The guides cannot be faulted for the fact that the bears appeared very late when it was very dark.
