Join the thousands of locals who come to celebrate Day of the Dead in the town of San Andres Mixquic. You will get to be a part of this famous national holiday when families and friends come together to honor the dead.

The marvelous celebrations in Mixquic are an extension of a cult that has existed since pre-Hispanic times. You will get to experience all the magical traditions of the Day of the Dead and get fascinating insights into one of Mexico’s most famous festivals. There will be thousands of candles and flowers decorating the city! You will also get to see families praying and singing for the spirits of their ancestors.

Last but not least, there will be the colorful "Ofrendas" (a collection of objects placed on an altar especially for the Day of the Dead). Be excited to buy typical food and crafts at the stands, and to watch pre-Hispanic rituals in the most authentic setting.
