From the massive glaciers to the aurora borealis, Iceland's most distinctive natural features are waiting to be admired in one simple tour. Walk across the remarkable landscape of the Solheimajokull glacier during the day. When night falls, head out in search of the magical Northern Lights. In between, savor a traditional Icelandic meal to sustain your energy on this full-day of discovery.

The tour begins when your guide picks you up in Reykjavik and drives you two hours through the hilly and green Icelandic scenery. You arrive at the Solheimajokull glacier, where your guide distributes the gear and gives a safety briefing. With an ice axe in hand and crampons attached to your boots, you're ready for your excursion.

Wander across a field of ice as you follow your guide. With the ice forming intricate cracks and tunnels, you explore the glacier in the most dynamic way possible. Learning from your guide's expert glacier knowledge lets you appreciate these giant features even more.

After marveling at the Solheimajokull over a two-hour walk, your guide drives you to see the beautiful Skogafoss waterfall. Pouring down from 60 m (200 ft) high in between a green canyon, the waterfall is a highly photogenic spectacle. To fill your appetite from so much activity, you enjoy a traditional Icelandic dinner at a local restaurant.

When the sun goes down, you hunt for your chance to spot the Northern Lights. Keep your fingers crossed these magical lights will make a show. Lastly, make a stop at the Seljalandsfoss waterfall. This site is perhaps even better to see at night when the 60 m (200 ft) high falling water is lit up by lights.

After a day full of adventure, you arrive back in Reykjavik. You can't see everything in one day, but you can fit in some of Iceland's most unique highlights.
