Please bring a swimsuit, towel, change of clothes, and sunscreen.
Participants should be able to swim confidently.

The nature in Gran Canaria is so diverse that the round-shaped island is known as a “miniature continent”. From desert-like dunes to white-capped mountains - when it comes to nature, the astonishing landscapes of this small territory has it all.
Gran Canaria’s diversity is also visible along its coast. Sealife such as octopus, cuttlefish, pipefish, and stingrays - among others - live in the underwater world of this side of the Atlantic. Even species of harmless sharks often visit the area, mesmerizing the lucky visitors. With such creatures, a mild climate, and ideal water temperatures, the island welcomes divers year-round.
Our Open Water Diver Classes are based on the PADI – Professional Association of Diving Instructors program, one of the most popular scuba diving certifications in the world. The course lasts three days and covers everything you need to dive safely. We also provide all the necessary gear, such as the diving suit, fins, and tank. You don’t need to buy or rent anything else.
The activities are divided into three parts. The first lessons focus on knowledge development and take place in our diving center, at Las Canteras beach, just a few meters from the shore.
Afterwards, you learn how to assemble all the gear and start your training sessions in shallow waters. When you are confident enough, your professional instructor takes you to explore the blue ocean of Gran Canaria.
The PADI Open Water Diver Course can be done year-round, and enables you to take part in dives with a more experienced diver. No special skill is needed to take part in this activity. Children as young as ten years old can participate, but they must feel comfortable in the water.
