To describe someone in Spanish as "graciosa" means she is amusing, cute, charming. The same could be said of the Canary Island's newest member "La Graciosa." This 29 sq. km (11 sq. mi) basalt rock creation may be small, but La Graciosa hosts plenty of natural beaches, a few towering mountains, and just under 800 residents. Photograph the eighth Canary Island on a lesson full of dedicated attention and tropical exploration.
Tailor the course to your level and preferences, whether you're a beginner, intermediate, or expert. Work with an enthusiastic instructor with over 20 years of photography experience, lectures, and exhibitions on his CV. He picks you up at your accommodation to drive to the boat ferry. A swift 20-minute ride along the bright blue waves brings you to La Graciosa.
With no paved roads or cars and two mountains reaching over 700 m (2,300 ft), the island is for wanderlust addicts. You arrive in Caleta de Sebo, the main settlement of the island. The pure white buildings and sandy dirt roads sit along the clear waters with massive mountains towering behind. Capture this intriguing town with your lens guided by the advice of your instructor.
You then make your way to Playa de los Conejos. This small untouched beach offers sweeping views of the Famara cliffs over in Lanzarote and the Roque del Este, and uninhabited rocky formation of the Chinijo Archipelago National Park. Dip your toes in the clear waters and enjoy the untouched golden sand.Trek around a volcanic island of quiet but mighty mountains, winding sandy roads, and bright blue ocean. Between the island's peculiar environment and the instructor's enthusiasm, you'll surely have a "graciosa" day.
