Why we love this tour
Spend two breathtaking days discovering the remote Stockholm archipelago by kayak. Explore the nature reserve and spend a night on a deserted island.
- 2 full days of kayaking
- Explore the wildest parts of the archipelago
- Stunning landscapes
- Learn about local wildlife
- Spend the night on a deserted island
- Enjoy food in the forest prepared on a campfire

Get up close and personal with Stockholm’s natural wonder of islets, islands, and rocks. While kayaking along the calm waters, you will fall in love with the natural wonder of the city.
Our voyage begins at 9:00 a.m. at our office, just 10 minutes south of Stockholm by metro. Here you meet your guide, collect the kayaks, and go through some basic techniques and safety before kicking off your paddling journey.
We travel through the 30,000 diverse islands featuring cliffs, forests, and typical Swedish red huts. Along the way, your guide narrates the area’s history and wildlife. A number of bird species may fly above us, such as the great cormorant migrating to their new home or sea eagles hunting for prey (don’t worry, they aim for smaller animals).
When our arms start to tire, we rest on a nice deserted island. Here we are rewarded with a tasty outdoor meal as we take some time to relax, accompanied only by the sounds of waves and singing birds. With our energy recharged, we head back to the sea.
In fair sea conditions, we can paddle to the nature reserve’s island of Kaston, a nesting area of grey seals. Hopefully, they pop their heads up to say hello!
At the end of the afternoon, we stop on another deserted island to set camp for the night. Over a nice campfire dinner, we take in the final treat of the day, a peaceful Swedish sunset.
In the morning, we enjoy a breakfast and a coffee, then pack up and hit the water for more sightseeing. This time on a different route, we meander through the wildest part of the Stockholm archipelago, every turn surprising you with a new show of beauty. With heads full of views and lungs full of fresh air, we head back to the meeting point and (reluctantly) return to civilization.

What a great experience! We went to a nature reserve in a minivan, hiked through the forest and enjoyed beautiful nature. We spotted many roe deers and hares on the way. Finally, at the end of the tour we were lucky enough to meet a giant moose! Unforgettable moment :). And the guide was amazing! So funny and knowledgable.

Our first kayaking experience and it couldn't be better! Alex was an amazing guide who explained everything well. He also prepared lunch for us on an open fire in the middle of the day (highly appreciated the possibility of a vegan option!). Nature in Sweden is absolutely breathtaking, we enjoyed a full day on water and made a few breaks on little abondoned islands where we jumped into the water for a quick swim and hiked to a little rock for a view. I can only recommend this tour :).

We had a fantastic day kayaking, our group were great and our guide was really friendly and helpful. The island we stopped on for food was picturesque and our cooked meal was delicious! If you like water and a fun time, I’d highly recommend this trip, well worth the money!
