Venture into the wild as we explore typical Swedish pine forests, open fields, and calm lakes. In a remarkable nature reserve, we focus on spotting moose, dear, wild boar, and other native animals to witness wildlife in their natural habitat.
On this wildlife safari, we have always seen at least 2 out of 3 wild mammals: moose, deer, and boar. Birds of prey such as buzzard, falcon and others can also be spotted. We may even encounter badgers, foxes, hares, and, if we’re lucky, a lynx.
We start by picking you up in the late afternoon in central Stockholm. We then drive you in a spacious minivan away from the busy city into the peaceful forest. Starting off the trip is a cozy campfire dinner in the forest. During the meal, one of our expert guides tells you all about the rich Swedish wildlife and nature.
After dinner, we take a short hike looking for animals, their signs, and their tracks. Using these natural clues, it’s possible to see moose even this early on our excursion.
Once we finish walking, we continue in our van in order to cover a wider area and improve our chances of animal sightings. Sunset is prime moose-time when we are most likely to see males with huge antlers or a mother with her calves. We search in a forest nature reserve, so each tour varies. Every turn through the reserve brings another view and another chance to spot furry inhabitants.
After an evening traveling through the reserve, we return back to our meeting point. You end the day with new knowledge of Swedish wildlife, a remarkable journey through the forests, and possibly a moose friend.
Need to know before you go

Private tours can be organized any time for 4 or more people in the group and they are available daily, please consult us for a price.
We leave according to sunset ranging from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. depending on the season. We will send you the precise time based on your booking date.
The tour is not suitable for children below 10 years old. In a private booking, there is no age limit.
We will meet next to the restaurant Organic Green, Rehnsgatan 24, 103 92 Stockholm. If you are a part of a private group, we will pick you up at your accommodation.
Please note that this is not an African safari, so don’t expect tame animals to walk around us freely like in the zoo. Instead, we find them by being cautious, silent and alert. This the best way how to encounter real, untamed wildlife.

This tour involves light physical motion and being in healthy shape is therefore required.

We were so happy with our hike. Ben, our guide, made it really special for us. He's very knowledgeable, he knew wild fruits and plants, mushrooms, and was as excited as we were with the hike! We hike on and off-trail, picked lots of berries on the way, went to a couple of lakes, had lunch around a campfire and had an amazing time. I recommend this to anyone keen on experiencing nature in Sweden.
