Stand Up Paddleboarding Tour in Tenerife
Duration: 3 hours Easy Pristine coast
Why we love this tour
Paddle your way along gentle waves of transparent water to discover Tenerife’s volcanic coast.
- Stand up paddle along Tenerife’s hillside coast
- Learn or improve your SUP skills
- Explore clear oceans
- Have fun in the “endless summer” climate
With waters bluer than the sky and weather like an endless summer, Tenerife is a paddleboarding paradise. Journey along the Canary’s largest island and discover the volcanic island’s varied landscape. Learn the basics of stand up paddling (SUP) or focus on your fitness, the specifics are up to you.
The location of the tour depends on the weather and your accommodation address, as you are picked up for the tour. Once your address is confirmed, we will let you know the exact location of the tour. If you’ve never done SUP before, take a quick lesson in the beginning to learn the ropes. If you’re more experienced, challenge yourself (and your core) with a fitness-focused route. Below are some possible locations for you to explore:
On the west coast towards the south, giant jagged cliffs of enormous size line the island. Towering up to 600 m (1,970 ft) high, the Los Gigantes cliffs provide a magnificent backdrop as you paddle along sparkling waters. Pushing yourself along the gentle waves, you get a sense of how unique this volcanic island really is.
With around 2 km (1 mile) of golden sands, Las Teresitas is the most celebrated beach in Tenerife. The flat, smooth sands give way to high slopes of arid, rocky hills. Witness how multi-colored volcanic rocks, the blue ocean, and green succulents define the landscape of Tenerife.
After a two-hour journey along the water, take a break on the beach with some complimentary snacks and beverages. Rest your arms and take in the ocean breeze as you relax on the sand. Stand up paddleboard along Tenerife's coast to discover incredible views, tranquil waters, and a charming island oasis.

The Forest is beautiful and the marked trail the guides chose was a beginner to intermediate hike and perfect for our group. The guides were very personable. Lunch was delicious. The visitors center has trail maps so if you want to hike after the excursion and have your own transportation from the visitors center to your hotel it is possible to do this.
