From the mountainous landscape to the bright sandy beaches, there's much exploring to be done on the gorgeous island of Tenerife. A kids' adventure on the beach or in the forest provides a fun, engaging experience for your child to experience and learn about Tenerife's incredible nature.
The adventure takes place in either the in the tall pine trees of the Corona Forest Natural Park or on the smooth beaches of Playa de Abades. The location depends on both the weather and the date of the trip. Monday's and Thursday's are beach trips, while Tuesday's and Friday's are forest adventures. From your accommodation, the guide drives your child to the activity area. The trip also makes for a great opportunity to make a new friend. With a mix of 5 to 14-year-olds, the group brings together kids from around the world.
In Corona Forest Natural Park at the foot of the Teide volcano, you wander through Tenerife's largest forest full of Canarian pine and laurel trees. Follow the guide past flowing ravines as he or she points out local species, like tiny reptiles or flying birds.
Just off of the small coastal village of Abades lies the beach Playa de Abades where low rocks partially encircle this bay of clear water. Enjoy the dark smooth sand and hop into the waves under the bright Spanish sun.
In both locations, the group first completes a scavenger hunt full of information about the island. The hunt is an excellent chance for some adventurous learning. Everyone breaks for snacks, drawing, and more games. After the activity, your child is dropped off back at your accommodation.
No matter the location, kids get to know the unique volcanic landscape of Tenerife on their own fun, interactive adventure.
