- OUR TOURS -
Levels offered are Intermediate (Int) or Advanced (Adv), Pro upon request
MONDAY TOUR - Teide West
Approaching the volcano Mount Teide from the west offers spectacular views of the Teno mountain range and the nearby islands of La Gomera and La Palma. We start from the village Chio or Los Paleos and reach Boca Tauce, which gets us close to Mount Teide. Once we reach the crater, we're riding up to 2,000 m (6,562 ft) above sea level! We then regroup at Retamar and start our 25-km (15.5-mi) descent. After lunch, an optional downhill ride to Las Americas concludes our day.
Int- Distance: 67 km (42 mi), Climb: 1,130 m (3,707 ft)
Adv- Distance: 68-87 km (42-54 mi), Climb: 1,680-2,000 m (5,512-6,562 ft)
TUESDAY TOUR - La Gomera
To explore this magical island (locals speak a whistling language here), we take a boat from Los Cristianos to San Sebastian. The boat is an extra expense, but it's absolutely worth it. Riding through the Garonjonay National Park - a World Heritage site - we enter a world of year-round mist and 450 species of flora. This riding experience has a tricky terrain, making it an unforgettable adventure through a stunning island paradise.
The starting time and price depends on the date booked. This is due to the boat schedule/price. Please contact us if you're interested in this tour for more info.
Int- Distance: 62 km (38 mi), Climb: 1,700 m (5,577 ft)
Adv- Distance: 81 km (50 mi), Climb: 2,550 m (8,366 ft)
WEDNESDAY TOUR - Masca
Like a hidden treasure in the ancient Teno Massif, the village of Masca resembles a mini Machu Picchu. We start in the village of Chio or in Santiago del Teide, move down to Garachico and its natural rock pools, then head to Buenavista del Norte, a town rich in old traditions. That's where we begin riding towards Masca through the heart of the Teno mountain range, with deep ravines and amazing flora all around.
The climb out of Masca is challenging, so we have a bus ready if it's a bit too much for you. We finish with lunch and an optional 32-km ride back to Las Americas.
Int- Distance: 45 km (28 mi), Climb: 1,150 m (3,773 ft)
Adv- Distance: 53-92 km (33-57 mi), Climb: 1,530-2,300 m (5,020-7,456 ft)
THURSDAY TOUR - Teide South
We start our ride either from our café, or from the charming village of Vilaflor, located on the highest part of the island. We then bike on the winding TF21 road, which runs along beautiful eroded soil and various landscapes. After reaching the thick Coronal Forest, we head towards Mount Teide, steadily reaching a height of 2,000 m (6,561 ft) above sea level.
At Retamar, we enter the crater and tour the Garonjonay National Park. Then it's down to the famous Parador Hotel, the only building directly on Mount Teide. Our big descent is finished with lunch at our base camp, and we conclude the tour in Las Americas.
Int- Distance: 68 km (42 mi), Climb: 1,420 m (4,659 ft)
Adv- Distance: 66-85 km (41-53 mi), Climb: 1,600-2,000 m (5,249-6,561 ft)
FRIDAY TOUR - Teide East
Whether you choose to begin down in the village of Arafo, the top of our climb, or in-between, this is an incredibly rewarding challenge. We get the best views of Santa Cruz and the gorgeous northern and eastern coastlines. Mount Teide appears in various points during our ride, then disappears and shows itself again in a different, stunning light.
We pass the Ucanca desert of Teide's National Park and ride around the crater until we reach the top. This tour ends at our café, where we enjoy a well-deserved lunch.
Int- Distance: 82 km (51 mi), Climb: 1,580 m (5,184 ft)
Adv- Distance: 92 km (57 mi), Climb: 2,350 m (7,710 ft)
SATURDAY TOUR - West Coast
The weather rarely disappoints on the beautiful west coast. Heading out from Las Americas towards San Juan, we climb through the banana plantations of Guia de Isora. Then it's down again to see Los Gigantes ("The Giants"), the popular seaside town with rock cliffs up to 800 m high. We pause to take in the gorgeous views before moving towards the village of Tamaimo.
For advanced riders, there's a bit more riding before meeting the group for lunch in Santiago del Teide. All that's left is 33 km (20.5 mi) back to Las Americas.
Int- Distance: 73-95 km (45-59 mi), Climb: 1,300-2,300 m (4,265-7,546 ft)
Adv- Distance: 95-102 km (59-63 mi), Climb: 2,300-2,600 m (7,546-8,530 ft)
SUNDAY TOUR - East Coast
After a bus transfer to Guimar Valley, we head out on the TF28 road, Tenerife's "biking highway". This road can take you down the entire length of the island! Passing through historic towns and villages let's us explore Tenerife's genuine culture, while riding through multiple valleys offers scenic views of the island of Gran Canaria.
The climbing during this tour is not continuous, but don't expect it to be easy. Especially if you choose to ride the optional drop down - followed by a climb back up - from/to El Poris, a former fishing village. We grab lunch in San Miguel, and end with a return to Las Americas.
Int- Distance: 69 km (43 mi), Climb: 1,200 m (3,937 ft)
Adv- Distance: 90 km (56 mi), Climb: 1,700 m (5,577 ft)
