The Czech company will be featured during the conference as one of the most promising travel startups worldwide.
Dubbed “the best technology conference on the planet” by Forbes magazine, the Web Summit is also the largest one of its kind. This year, the organizers are expecting more than 70,000 people from all around the globe to join the event, which will take place November 5-8 in Lisbon, Portugal.
Ev Williams, founder and CEO of Medium; Young Solm, president and CSO of Samsung; and Tim Berners-Lee, inventor of the World Wide Web, are just some of the big names that will be attending the conference.
The Czech startup OutdoorVisit is well-prepared to join the discussion. The company was selected to be a part of the highly-coveted Web Summit Beta program, and it is going to be featured during the conference as one of the most promising travel startups worldwide.
“Being one of the few chosen for the Beta program is amazing. We see it as a form of recognition following the hard work we’ve been doing at OutdoorVisit, and a great motivator for the growth that is already in progress,” says the company’s co-founder, Seen Aquin.
One of the main benefits of being in the Beta program is the visibility the brand gains among important players. The founders will have access to areas specially designated for networking and mentoring. “We aren’t going there to be another face in the crowd,” adds Aquin. “Of course, we want to learn everything we can from the big names, but we are primarily looking forward to introducing our company to people who can cooperate with us and help our company reach its full potential.”
Czech startup OutdoorVisit is aiming to offer its customers the most incredible outdoor experiences all across the world. This simple concept is surprisingly unique, despite research showing that almost 50% of tourists include some sort of outdoor or sports activities in their travel plans.
After a successful launch across 17 markets with the support of J&T Ventures, one of the most respected investment funds in the CEE region, OutdoorVisit has entered a stage of rapid global expansion and is now ready for the second round of funding.
