3x Freediving World Champion and 2x World Record holder

Gabka Grézlová

I wanted to dive as long as I can remember. My dream came true in 2007 when I completed my first Open water diver course in Deep Blue diving club. Here I met Martin Zajac, one of the world’s top freedivers. My first dry static (simply holding my breath out of the water) lasted about 45 seconds, and I said I WILL NEVER EVER freedive in my life! :-)

Year later I helped Martin with the Freediving Championship organization and tried my first freediving competition in a muddy dam. I announced my plan to reach a 10 meter depth, as I knew that I can easily make it, and went down to the total darkness. Obviously, I finished last :-D. But an afterparty followed, we danced and had fun with a group of great people, and somehow my freediving life got decided.

I bought long freediving fins and started to swim in the pool. My first official competition in 2009 was just for fun, and contrary to my expectations, this time, I was not the last. The atmosphere was super cool and I loved the possibility to see all my friends, so I continued. Of course, with no real ambitions.

At the beginning of 2012 I started to follow Martin’s recommendations in my training and later also Michal Risian and primarily Branko Petrovic (the world freediving phenomenon) were of great help and inspiration to me and I started to take competing more seriously in year 2013, usually ending third for some reason. But one of those third places was at the Pool World championship, and that’s what changed the game. Somehow the medals started coming. I became 3x World Champion in Static Apnea and 2x World record holder in static Apnea with my personal best and World Record by holding my breath for 8min 33s. I quit competing back in 2017, eager to fully focus on scuba diving and related travelling in my free time.

Why I love OutdoorVisit

My achievements would never have been possible without all the amazing people around me. I believe that sharing your passion with friends, regardless what you actually do, is simply one of the most beautiful things you can do in your life. I love diving focused travelling and I prefer to manage everything myself. And one of the reasons why I like OutdoorVisit.com so much is that it makes great adventures easily available to everyone, even without previous experience. We met with Michal Tyl, the founder of OutdoorVisit, through freediving many years ago and what I can say that if it’s his project, you can put your trust in it and just enjoy all the great outdoor adventures this world has to offer.

Peggy Marvanová

Ultra biker, extreme racer, winner of the self-supported Tour Devide race for 2 800 miles

Peggy Marvanová

Peggy Marvanová looks innocent, but under her timid smile and blond hair you will find a true adventure soul and the strength of will which can brake rocks. She is a young extreme biker and ultraracer performing on the world level in destinations, where many people wouldn’t even dare to walk alone.

Among her greatest successes you will find winning the self-supported Tour Devide race for 2 800 miles, racing the Scotish Highland Trail for 550 miles of stony landscape or being the first ones ever to finish the super cold Lapland Extreme chalenge, where she won over some of the toughest adventurers this world has to offer. We should also mention her 560 mile race above the polar circle.

What we love about Peggy is her love for minimalism. Sleep on the ground in bear areas? No problem. Sleeping there without a tent or sleeping bag? Why not? Whatever is not needed for survival or moving faster, can be ommited. This way, she is looking for the esence of her life, racing through some of the most impressive destinations with her equally crazy boyfriend Adam.
